We have an amazing group of storytellers for this year's event. This great group will be joined by pianist and composer Ben Cosgrove, who will provide the evening's musical accompaniment.
Jamie Trowbridge
Jamie Trowbridge is President and CEO of Yankee Publishing. He grew up in Dublin and lives in Peterborough with his wife Laura. A graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and Dartmouth College, Jamie currently serves on the Board of MacDowell in Peterborough. He previously served on the Boards of the N. H. Travel Council, the N. H. Business Committee for the Arts, Monadnock Community Hospital, the Greater Monadnock Collaborative, and the Monadnock Rotary Club. In 2012 Jamie was recognized with the Business in the Arts Award by the N. H. Business Committee for the Arts. In 2019 Franklin Pierce University awarded him an honorary degree.
Kim Peavey
Kim Peavey farms and writes from Westmoreland. She and her family, as well as three draft horses, grow vegetables biodynamically for 50 local families through CSA and farmers' markets. Kim grew up on a family dairy farm in central New York State and studied literature, theology, and environmental issues before returning to her farming roots. Kim's essays and poetry have appeared in various periodicals, and she also writes a monthly column on farming and sustainability for the Monadnock Shopper News.
Bob King
Bob is a self-professed ‘hydro fanatic’. He is also a professional engineer and president of a suite of clean energy companies based in Keene, New Hampshire. King develops small-scale hydroelectric, solar, and energy storage projects and has spent more than three decades reviving derelict dams and lovingly restoring them back to life before reselling them. Currently, he owns three in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Together, his dams produce about four megawatts of electricity, enough energy to power roughly 3,000 homes.
A recent PBS documentary, The Power of Water, follows Bob’s work as a clean energy entrepreneur. Along the way, this engaging film explores the history of hydropower in New England, the ongoing transition away from dirty fossil energy, the importance of land conservation, and how we all can be part of the solution as we face these challenges together. In June 2025, The Power of Water received an Emmy Award for best new Environment/Science film in New England.
Milton Trimitsis
Milton is the owner and operator of Five Sigma Farms in Sullivan. Five Sigma Farm is tucked in the hills of southwestern New Hampshire. Here, along with his team of working dogs, Milton raises lamb on lush, rotationally-grazed pastures. His ewes and lambs are moved daily to give them access to the best pastures the farm has to offer.
Milton also raise chickens on pasture where the plants and bugs and fresh air make for happy hens and outstanding eggs. The sheep and chickens are protected by Milton's livestock guardian dogs so they can focus on grazing without fear of predators.
