Volunteer Trail Work Day

Saturday, August 7 (rain date August 8)
9 a.m. to noon
Boardwalk on the Cranberry Meadow Pond Trail, Peterborough

You can help build a new boardwalk and give this section of trail new life. Volunteers will primarily carry boards to/from the work site and screw them in place. Knowing how to use a drill is ideal, but some basic training will be given. (There will be two drills on hand; feel free to bring your own as well.) Please be able to carry 35 pounds or more at a time, and be prepared to work hard out in the weather and bugs. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and close-toed footwear that can get wet and dirty, plus bring lots of water, snacks, and a positive attitude. Meet at the trailhead kiosk, 36 Old Street Road, Peterborough, New Hampshire. For more information or to sign up, contact Rick Brackett, land manager, at Rick@ MonadnockConservancy.org or call him at 603-357-0600, ext. 105.
