MONADNOCK CONSERVANCY AND
SHARON CONSERVATION COMMISSION TO
LEAD INFORMATIONAL HIKE AND
HONOR LANDOWNERS

( KEENE)—On Saturday, June 16 th at 9:30 am The Monadnock Conservancy will lead an informational hike on the recently protected Dugdale Tree Farm located at 273 Jarmany Hill Road in Sharon. A variety of hiking routes and paces will be available. The outing will focus on the diverse plant and wildlife habitats of the property, with emphasis on how active forest management has complemented ecological values. Immediately following the hike, the Sharon Conservation Commission will host a brief ceremony to thank Richard and Ann Dugdale for their generosity in protecting the land.

The Dugdales, of Walpole, MA, recently donated a conservation easement to the Monadnock Conservancy on 136 acres of their certified New Hampshire Tree Farm. The easement protects a large area of well-managed timberland, portions of an adjacent wetland, and extensive wildlife habitat for deer, moose, black bear, wild turkey, fisher, and numerous smaller animal species. The Sharon Conservation Commission partnered with the Monadnock Conservancy in bringing this project to fruition.
