MONADNOCK CONSERVANCY
HIRES RYAN OWENS

Conservation Project Manager brings broad
range of experience and education

( KEENE)—The Monadnock Conservancy is proud to announce the hiring of Ryan Owens as Conservation Project Manager. In that position, Ryan will manage land conservation transactions, expand and refine the Conservancy’s land protection program, collaborate with municipalities and other organizations, cultivate and maintain landowner relationships, and conduct field evaluations of potential conservation projects in cooperation with other staff and volunteers.

Ryan comes to the Conservancy with a Master of Science degree from the Field Naturalist Program at the University of Vermont and a Bachelor of Arts cum Laude in Ecology from Dartmouth College. His work experience includes consulting ecologist/management planner, development associate at the Wilderness Society, training and leadership activities, and extensive field research, both in the United States and abroad.

Ryan’s educational background and past experience include the “whys” of conservation—the natural resource and social values of open space—and he is looking forward to applying the “hows” of complex land transactions to projects in the Monadnock Region. Ryan and his wife Amy live in Stoddard.

The Monadnock Conservancy is a nonprofit membership-supported land trust based in Keene, New Hampshire, and serving the 35 towns of the Monadnock Region. The mission of the Monadnock Conservancy is “To identify, promote, and actively seek protection of significant natural, aesthetic, and historic resources in the Monadnock Region; and to monitor and enforce the protection of lands in the trust.”
